Meet Our Team

Dr. Buntain graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. She practiced at a mixed animal practice here in Texas for three years before joining our family in 2016. Dr. Buntain is originally from Lewisville, Texas but has found her heart is here in the Hill Country. She has a Lab Mix, named Mia. You may often see Mia relaxing in the “doctor’s office” here in the clinic. She is always looking for a treat! In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling!

Dr. Lackie graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.  Though she isn’t a native Texan, she fits the saying that she got to Texas as fast as she could!  Dr. Lackie practiced veterinary medicine in the Texas Panhandle for nearly 20 years before moving to the Hill Country.  She is proud to be a “boy mom” and enjoys cooking, traveling and boating!

Dr. Jana Grant, raised in Northern Virginia and Phoenix, Arizona, earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Anthropology from James Madison University. She pursued veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences in California, graduating in 2009. After a small animal internship in Sacramento, she worked seven years in Elk Grove, California, focusing on internal medicine, radiology, animal behavior, and dermatology. Seeking proximity to friends, she relocated to Texas, practicing in San Antonio before settling in Bulverde. Dr. Grant aims to make veterinary visits enjoyable, fostering lasting client relationships and promoting optimal pet care. She lives with her two young children, Kayla and Kai, two dogs, four cats, a tortoise, and fish. In her spare time, she enjoys family outings, local dining, gardening, and outdoor activities with her family.
